There's something inherently magical about proposals. The anticipation, the nerves, and the sheer joy of the moment make for an unforgettable experience. When Alicia shared her vision of popping the question against the stunning backdrop of Canon Beach, I knew it would be a shoot to remember.

As a fellow Salt Lake City native, I instantly connected with Alicia and Mikayla. They mentioned their plans to move to the Pacific Northwest, drawn by the allure of rugged coastlines, towering forests, and endless opportunities for exploration. It was clear that Canon Beach, with its rugged beauty and awe-inspiring sunsets, was the perfect setting for this milestone in their journey together. Another reason that this location was so special to these two sweethearts was that it was where they spread Mikayla’s mom’s ashes, so it was touching to know that she would be able to be there for such a momentous event in their lives.

Arriving at Canon Beach, the atmosphere was charged with excitement. We scouted the perfect spot where the majestic Haystack Rock loomed in the distance, casting a striking silhouette against the sky. As the sun dipped lower on the horizon, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, Alicia got down on one knee and asked Mikayla to spend forever by her side. It was a moment of pure joy, captured against the backdrop of one of nature's most awe-inspiring creations.
