Frequently Asked Questions

  • OF COURSE!! ALWAYS!!!!! YES PLEASE!!

  • My personal philosophy is that I will edit out things that are temporary (think of spinach in the teeth, clothing tags, scabs, flyaway hairs, breakouts), but I don’t take the liberty of editing people’s bodies. If there is something that you’re possibly feeling insecure about, please let me know so I can make you feel confident as hell when looking at your photos!

  • I’m a pretty mellow person, so as long as I’m not booked, we can totally reschedule you! After this past couple of years, I think we all understand how important it is to prioritize our health and the safety of others. If I do get sick, I will have a photographer/videographer shoot for me, and I will edit the photos/video myself, so you still get the same style of work from me.

  • I love to customize packages whenever possible. There are so many factors that can come into all the different kinds of shoots I offer, so feel free to reach out, and we can set something up that’s perfect for you!

  • I’m always down with this! If you specifically have someone you’d love to work with, that’s awesome! If you want more coverage but don’t know other photographers or videographers, let me know, as I have a handful of people I hire out to second shoot with.

  • I shoot with two Canon R6s with a 24-70mm and 35mm lens! For videography, I use a Ronin gimbal for stabilization. I also have film add-on options- reach out to learn more!

  • My current editing style is true to color with lightly moody contrast to capture the integrity of skin tones and the surrounding landscapes!

  • I’ve definitely experienced working with a photographer and have ending up feeling (and looking in photos afterwards) so awkward because I either didn’t know what to do with my damn hands or should’ve moved my face a different way! I personally have what I like to call my “playbook of poses” that I have logged in my brain after shooting for so many years, but it is helpful to know if there’s something you’d like me to be aware of in photos so I don’t accidentally accentuate it!

  • I don’t give raw photos as I spend hours upon hours dedicated to perfecting my craft, but if there is something you are unhappy with in the photos you receive, please let me know so I can try to help you as best as possible!

  • For hour-ish-long shoots like boudoirs, family photos, and graduations, I typically have a two-week turnaround. For weddings, I say about two months, but I do give sneak peeks within 48 hours/the week during my busy wedding season! All session times may vary due to outstanding circumstances but I’ll be sure to communicate if something prohibits a timely turnaround.

  • For most sessions, I love sharing my work on social platforms! I will always reach out first before sharing boudoirs to make sure you’re okay with it. I do try to get featured, but it’s also not the biggest priority for me. If I do submit a session, I will ask you first. If you prefer me not to share our session, please let me know.

  • While I am not a perfect person, and there’s always more to unlearn and educate myself on, I can only hope to be a welcoming and safe space for people of all races, sizes, sexual orientations, and identities. Love is love. Black lives are needed, loved, and matter. If you disagree with this, I may not be the photographer for you, and that is totally okay. At the end of the day, I want my clients and myself to feel comfortable and understood.

  • Through my payment management system, you have the option to pay with Venmo, Paypal or with your debit or credit card!

  • For all shoots, I require a non-refundable 30% deposit to secure your date. I then require the rest of the payment to be made before our session for couple’s sessions and payment to be made the week before for weddings/elopements.

For weddings and elopements, after responding to your initial inquiry email, I like to set up a lil FaceTime call to chat over any details or questions you and your partner may have for you to make sure you feel like I’m the right photographer for you! Once you have decided that I’m the right photographer for you, I’ll send over a questionnaire, contract and invoice to fill out. The month before your wedding, we’ll schedule another FaceTime call to go over timelines and specifics. I’ll also be touching base the week of just in casies!

  • Yes I do!! I’ve worked with so many talended vendors and love being able to reccomend so many of my local, talented friends! I have a highlight on my Instagram profile and am in the process of writing a blog post going more in depth about this, but feel free to always reach out about specifics!
